Buildings, Industry and Hazards

Environmental hazards cover a broad range of acute and chronic effects from domestic, industrial and agricultural activities and from naturally occurring microorganisms, chemicals and radiation in our soil, water, air, food and wastes.

A major goal for environmental health practitioners is to determine and assess the perceived and actual risks of such hazards and communicate that information to the public.

Here you can access information on a range of issues relating to the built environment and health. This includes information on housing and building issues, major infrastructure developments, urban planning issues, enviromental hazards and health impact assessments.
