Cryptosporidiosis is a disease caused by swallowing the Cryptosporidium parasite. It mainly causes diarrhoea and stomach cramps.
Notification
Cryptosporidiosis is a notifiable disease in NSW and must be reported by phone as soon as possible after diagnosis.
Doctors, Hospitals and laboratories must notify the local Public Health Unit (PHU).
