Summary
The policy describes the requirement to report scheduled congenital conditions under the NSW Public Health Act 1991. Notifications are sent to the Register of Congenital Conditions in the Department of Health Centre for Epidemiology and Research. Information from the Register is used to monitor the occurrence of congenital conditions for service planning purposes and to identify changes in incidence that may warrant investigation.
